Good day everyone and welcome to another day of blogging through the book of Proverbs đ
Today we look at chapter 14 and I’ll be focusing on verse 12 and 23

There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death. (Proverbs 14:12 NLT)
‘You can rationalize it all you want and justify the path of error you have chosen, but youâll find out in the end that you took the road to destruction.’ (Proverbs 14:12 TPT)
What path are you walking on today? Is it truly right, or are you justifying a choice you know is not pleasing to God? The above scripture reminds us that any path apart from Him ultimately leads to destruction. It may feel right in the moment, but it can never end well.
The safest and best path is the one God Himself leads us on. Thatâs why we must trust Him, seek His face, and allow Him to guide our steps.
The Lord promises in Psalm 32:8â9 (TPT):
âI will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So donât make it difficult; donât be stubborn when I take you where youâve not been before. Donât make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!â
What a beautiful assurance! God doesnât just point us in the right directionâHe walks with us, teaching and guiding us along the way. Our role is to yield, not resist, and to trust Him even when He leads us into unfamiliar places.
âIf you work hard at what you do, great abundance will come to you. But merely talking about getting rich while living to only pursue your pleasures brings you face-to-face with poverty.â (Proverbs 14:23 TPT)
Diligence is key to fruitfulness. Hard work brings reward, but merely talking about dreams without action leads to frustration and lack. Too often, we fall into the trap of endless planning, thinking, or even daydreamingâyet without consistent effort, nothing is accomplished.
This verse challenges us to move beyond words into action. If you want to see growth in your life, career, or walk with God, it requires discipline, persistence, and faithful effort.
Letâs not be people who only talk about what we want to doâletâs rise, work hard, and trust God to bless the work of our hands.
Thanks for joining me on this journey.
