Numbers 7 – Worthy offering…

Good evening y’all. I’m still catching up on the backlog of blogs I have missed out on ๐Ÿ™‚ . This blog is on Numbers chapter 7. Chapter 8 will be following shortly ๐Ÿ™‚

Be blessed ๐Ÿ™‚

Then the leaders of Israel, the heads of their fathersโ€™ houses, who were the leaders of the tribes and over those who were numbered, made an offering.  And they brought their offering before the Lord, six covered carts and twelve oxen, a cart for every two of the leaders, and for each one an ox; and they presented them before the tabernacle”. (Numbers 7: 2-3 NKJV)

The leaders of the tribes brought their offering and sacrifices to the house of the Lord. When we come into God’s presence do we come empty handed or do we come with an offering worthy to be presented to our King? Is God pleased with what we bring before Him? God was pleased with the sacrifices and offering that was brought to His house by the leaders of Israel.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,  โ€œAccept these from them, that they may be used in doing the work of the tabernacle of meeting; and you shall give them to the Levites, to every man according to his service.โ€ (Numbers 7: 4-5 NKJV)

Let’s think and ponder on the kind of offerings and sacrifices we bring before God.

Moses had to go into the tabernacle anytime He wanted to hear from God. Ain’t we glad we don’t have to go to a designated physical place to seek and hear from God. GOD is here with us now. He is our EMMANUEL. We can approach Him anywhere anytime any day! All thanks to Jesus for going to the cross for us

Eph 3: 12 says “In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence” and Eph 2:18 says “For through him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father”.

What are you doing with this free access? Are you making the most of it. Are you constantly communing with God or are you waiting till Sunday when you are within the four walls of a church to communicate with God. GOD IS HERE NOW. READY TO SPEAK AND LISTEN TO US. HALLELUJAH!!!

Thanks for joining today. Pls feel free to share your thots on the chapter.

Numbers 6 – Be ye Seperate….

Good morning y’all. Today we are studying numbers 6. Sorry it’s 2 days late. Been distracted lately but thank God for mercy, I’m back on track ๐Ÿ™‚ . I will be posting another blog on chapter 7 and 8 in a bit.

God calls us to a life of worship. This more than anything means we have to seperate ourselves unto Him for His service and live a life of holiness. We have to get rid of anything that will contaminate us, for He who has called us His holy.

“But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, โ€œYou must be holy because I am holy.โ€
(1 Peter 1:15-16 NLT)

Serving God can’t be on our own terms. It has to be done on Gods terms. When we decide to serve God we can’t just give any service unto Him. It has to be a genuine one that’s coming from us wholeheartedly.

The Nazirite vow wasn’t forced on everyone,ย  but if you choose to do it, then you have to fulfil it completely. You can’t start and then stop. God gave specific instructions on the Nazirite vow that would be acceptable by him. It’s the same with us we can’t just bring any form of sacrifice or worship to God, it has to be one that will be acceptable by Him.

Jesus in John 4:23 – 24 says “.. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.ย  For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.โ€( NLT)

Romans 12:1 says “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrificeโ€”the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him”.ย (NLT)

I pray the Holy Spirit will help us live a life of total seperation unto God; that our service will be acceptable in His sight. In Jesus’ Name … Amen

I will end with the blessing in verses 24 – 26
โ€˜May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.โ€™
(Numbers 6:24-26 NLT)

Thanks for joining. Pls feel free to share your thoughts on the chapter.
