Good day everyone and welcome to another day of blogging 😊
Today we look at chapter 9.

[4] “Whoever wants to know me and receive my wisdom, [5] come and dine at my table and drink of my wine. [6] Lay aside your simple thoughts and leave your paths behind. Agree with my ways, live in my truth, and you will find righteousness.” (Proverbs 9:4-6 TPT)
Wisdom has sent invitation, and the table is set. It is open to everyone. You are invited to come in and dine with wisdom. At the table of wisdom is where you find knowledge, understanding, guidance, direction and divine strategy that you need to succeed in life. This is not the wisdom that comes from man but the wisdom of God – The one who created the whole earth and sustains it by wisdom. Will you heed wisdoms call today?
[8] So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. But correct the wise, and they will love you. [9] Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more. (Proverbs 9:8-9 NLT)
Are you teachable and respond constructively to correction, or do you become defensive and disregard it? The manner in which one handles correction is a strong indicator of whether you are heading in the direction of wisdom or not.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9-10 NKJV)
The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God and the knowledge of God gives us understanding. I love how TPT version put this popular verse we all know
[10] The starting point for acquiring wisdom is to be consumed with awe as you worship Yahweh. To receive the revelation of the Holy One, you must come to the one who has living-understanding. (Proverbs 9:10 TPT)
The word “consumed” knocked me out. This means giving our full attention, focus and effort in worship of God. To be completely absorbed by God’s power, holiness and sovereignty such that we have no time or space for anything else
I am going to leave us with the same question I have been pondering on: Am I completely consumed by God or have I become too familiar with him? May the lord help us.
The table is set are you going to attend? The choice is yours. Choose wisely
Thanks for joining me on this journey.
