Numbers 13- What do you see…

Good evening y’all. Today we are studying Numbers 13.

12 spies were sent to explore the same land but they came back with different reports. Some believe the land cannot be conquered and others believe it can be conquered…. Yet its the same land. This suggests to me that two people can be looking at the same thing yet be seeing it differently. Its all a matter of perspective and what you choose to see

What are you seeing?

Are you seeing your problems from the perspective of God or from your limited understanding and resources?

The rest of the spies where looking at things based on their resources and ability. Caleb on the other hand saw things from the perspective of Gods ability. He believed since God had promised them the land, surely He must be able to give them what He has promised despite the massive obstacles in the way.

He said lets go up at once!!!  Notice He had to silence them.

Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, β€œWe should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” (Num 13: 30 NIV)

You have to silence the voices in your ears that do not align with what God has said concerning your situation. If you do not silence them, very soon you will begin to believe what the voices are saying as opposed to what God has said. Gods voice should be the loudest and only voice you hear.

Today, silence every foreign voice with the word of God. Remind yourself that God is able to do what He has promised. Believe that nothing is too difficult for Him. Choose to see yourself and your situation through the eyes of God; the one who is able to do all things and watches over His word to perform it.

Have a blessed eveing and remember to see yourself and situation through the eyes of God.

You are loved.

Numbers 11 – Is God’s hand too short….

God evening y’all. Today we are studying Numbers chapter 11.

“Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and the Lord heard everything they said. Then the Lord ’s anger blazed against them, and he sent a fire to rage among them, and he destroyed some of the people in the outskirts of the camp”….”Then the foreign rabble who were traveling with the Israelites began to crave the good things of Egypt. And the people of Israel also began to complain. β€œOh, for some meat!” they exclaimed”.
(Numbers 11:1, 4 NLT)

Complaining, grumbling and murmuring won’t get us anywhere. If at all anything they cause more damage than good.

The children of Israel started grumbling and moaning about their troubles and the Lord got angry and set fire to the outer edge of the camp. After that, they decided to follow the pattern of the foreigners around them. They saw the foreigners complain and they joined as well. In the end their complaining led to their death.

Complaining and moaning is a sign of ingratitude. The children of Israel were the same set of people that cried out to God for help when they were in Egypt, now after they have been delivered they are moaning about food.  They seemed to have forgotten all God had done for them.

Rather than grumble or complain, it’s better to pray about whatever it is that we’re agitated about. I once heard a preacher say, “…turn all your complaints into prayer…the amount of time we spend complaining could have been used praying about the issue”. Complaining doesn’t bring results, instead prayer does: therefore we are instructed in Phillipians 4:6 to pray rather than complain.

Scripture also says do all things without complaining and arguing (Phil 2:14).

I pray we learn to be thankful rather than complain and grumble.

Moses couldn’t comprehend how God was going to feed all the people with meat. His human mind just couldn’t conceive how this could be. At that point, he seemed to have forgotten how great and powerful God is.

But Moses responded to the Lord , β€œThere are 600,000 foot soldiers here with me, and yet you say, β€˜I will give them meat for a whole month!’ Even if we butchered all our flocks and herds, would that satisfy them? Even if we caught all the fish in the sea, would that be enough?”
(Numbers 11:21-22 NLT)

How often do we find ourselves in a similar position like Moses where we are faced with a challenging situation and we begin to question in our minds whether God can actually fix the challenge?

I love God’s response to Moses in verse 23.
“The Lord said to Moses, Has the Lord’s hand (His ability and power) become short (thwarted and inadequate)? You shall see now whether My word shall come to pass for you or not”. (Numbers 11:23 AMP)

Is God’s hand to short that it can’t deliver you from your current situation? I want you to take this verse as God talking to you regards whatever challenge you may be facing right now. He is able to fix it. There is nothing too difficult for Him.

Luke 1:37 says with God all things are possible.

Jeremiah 32:17 says Ah Lord God thou hast made the heavens and the earth. Nothing is too difficult for thee.

And indeed in verse 31 God sent the meat to them. They had more than enough.

I’ve come to learn that with God its not for us to know how or when He will do it. Our job is to believe He can and will do it.

Today, remember the hand of your God is not too short to deliver you. GOD says I am the God of all flesh is there anything too hard for me? So take your challenges to Him and watch Him fix it for you.

Have a blessed evening 😘
