Good day everyone and welcome to another day of blogging through the book of Proverbs 😊
Today we look at chapter 12 and I’ll be focusing on verse 21.

[21] Calamity is not allowed to overwhelm the righteous, but there’s nothing but trouble waiting for the wicked. (Proverbs 12:21 TPT)
This verse assures us that “Calamity is not allowed to overwhelm the righteous”
As believers, we stand in the righteousness of God— not through our own works, but through the finished work of Christ. As 2 Corinthians 5:21 (TPT) says: “For God made the only one who did not know sin to become sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God through our union with him.”
Whatever battle or challenge you are facing today has no authority to overpower or overwhelm you. Jesus Christ has already finished the work and declared you victorious.
In John 16:33 (TPT), Jesus says: “And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”
This powerful truth should fill your hearts with hope and joy—knowing that Jesus has already conquered everything you could ever face. Even before the battle started, you were already victorious!!!
Paul reminds us in Romans 8:28 (NLT): “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
Even this present circumstance is being turned around for your good.
James 1:2-4 (TPT) encourages us to consider it joy when we face difficulties:
“My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up in you the power of endurance. And then as your endurance grows even stronger, it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking.”
These challenges are strengthening you, refining your faith, and producing endurance.
Today, God wants to remind you that He will never allow more to come upon you than you can bear. He will always provide a way of escape.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (TPT) says:
“We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.”
I pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind. May you deeply know the love of your Father. May He carry you, strengthen you, and empower you to keep moving forward. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Remember, you are victorious already 😊
