Proverbs 12 – Are you overwhelmed?

Good day everyone and welcome to another day of blogging through the book of Proverbs 😊

Today we look at chapter 12 and I’ll be focusing on verse 21.

This verse assures us that Calamity is not allowed to overwhelm the righteous”

Whatever battle or challenge you are facing today has no authority to overpower or overwhelm you. Jesus Christ has already finished the work and declared you victorious.

In John 16:33 (TPT), Jesus says: “And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”
This powerful truth  should fill your hearts with hope and joy—knowing that Jesus has already conquered everything you could ever face. Even before the battle started, you were already victorious!!!

Paul reminds us in Romans 8:28 (NLT): “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
Even this present circumstance is being turned around for your good.

James 1:2-4 (TPT) encourages us to consider it joy when we face difficulties:

These challenges are strengthening you, refining your faith, and producing endurance.

I pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind. May you deeply know the love of your Father. May He carry you, strengthen you, and empower you to keep moving forward. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Remember, you are victorious already 😊

Proverbs 11- Wise counsel

Good day everyone and welcome to another day of blogging 😊

Today we look at chapter 11 and I’ll be focusing on verse 14.

No one is an island, and no one has all the answers. The above scripture reminds us that without good direction, we lose our way. Pride whispers, “I know enough. I don’t need anyone.” But that voice is a trap. Even the wisest among us need guidance — and the safest hands to lead us are God’s.

God is the ultimate Navigator. His track record is flawless. Remember the children of Israel? He led them through a barren wilderness, step by step, into the promised land. As long as they followed His instructions, they were safe. In Psalms 32:8 we see the lord saying He will guide us and direct us in the way to go.

And often, God guides us through people. He places the right voices in our lives at the right time. Think about Jethro and Moses. Moses was a great leader, yet he was carrying a load too heavy for one man. Jethro, his father-in-law, saw the strain and offered wisdom: “Delegate. Share the load.” Moses listened — and his leadership became stronger, not weaker.

But here’s a word of caution: not every voice is a godly one. True wisdom comes only from counsel rooted in God’s Word. If you’re not sure, ask the Holy Spirit. He is faithful to confirm whether what you’ve heard aligns with Him.

So today, let’s walk humbly. Let’s stay teachable. Let’s allow God — and the people He sends — to guide us because with Him directing the path, we will never be lost.

Thanks for joining me on this journey.
