Good day everyone and welcome to another day of blogging through the bible đ
Today we look at Proverbs chapter 8 and will focus on verses 13 and 32-36

13Wisdom pours into you when you begin to hate every form of evil in your life, for thatâs what worship and fearing God is all about. Then you will discover that your pompous pride and perverse speech are the very ways of wickedness that I hate!â (Proverbs 7: 13 TPT)
Wisdom pours into you when you hate every form of evil in your life. Loving evil shows a lack of wisdom. Hating whatâs evil is a form of worship to God. Most times we see worship as only the songs we sing, especially the slow tempo ones but really and truly worship is beyond that. In Romans 12: 1-2, Paul tells us that offering every part of our lives as a living sacrifice is worship to God.
Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to Godâs marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. (Romans 12:1 TPT)
So hereâs what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary lifeâyour sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around lifeâand place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. (Romans 12:1 MSG)
Worship of God encompasses a life lived in reverence and submission to him, acknowledging His sovereignty and responding to His grace with gratitude and obedience. It involves a heart that prioritizes God above all else and a lifestyle that reflects His will in every aspect of life.
When you say “God, I worship you,” consider if your actions and lifestyle truly reflect that worship. Words donât mean anything if there is no action to back it up.
The writer in verse 13, has made it clear that hating evil, pride and perverse speech is worship to God and as a result, wisdom is poured into us.
32âSo listen, my sons and daughters, to everything I tell you, for nothing will bring you more joy than following my ways. 33Listen to my counsel, for my instruction will enlighten you. Youâll be wise not to ignore it. 34If you wait at wisdomâs doorway, longing to hear a word for every day, joy will break forth within you as you listen for what Iâll say. 35For the fountain of life pours into you every time that you find me, and this is the secret of growing in the delight and the favor of the Lord. 36But those who stumble and miss me will be sorry they did! For ignoring what I have to say will bring harm to your own soul. Those who hate me are simply flirting with death!â (Proverbs 8: 32-26 TPT)
These verses above speak for themselves but verse 34- 36 really stood out for me
If you seek for wisdom each day, waiting to hear from God to see what he will say, this scripture says joy will break forth within you. The word of God brings us joy. If you are lacking joy, carve out time daily to spend with God, to listen for his instructions and you will see joy bursting forth from within you.
Fountain of life pours into you every time we seek for the wisdom of God and find it. This is the life of God â Zoe. Seeking for wisdom is the secret of growing in the delight and favour of the Lord. Itâs not too late to start seeking wisdom and stop flirting with death
My prayer for us today is that we will learn to hate evil and our everyday life will be an acceptable worship unto God. That we will daily seek for Godâs wisdom and in return, He will pour his life into us In Jesus Name. Amen
Thanks for joining me on this journey.
