Proverbs 15 – Want to see God’s glory?

Good day everyone and welcome to another day of blogging through the book of Proverbs 😊

Today we look at chapter 15 and I’ll be focusing on verses 31-33

These verses carry such powerful truth. To accept constructive criticism is to embrace wisdom. How do you personally respond to correction? We can either receive it and grow, or reject it and remain in foolishness. Correction should not be seen as rejection, but as an opportunity to mature in character and in our walk with God.

Verse 32 reminds us that refusing correction reveals an unwillingness to grow. Revelation and wisdom are not found in prideful resistance, but in humble acceptance of truth. When we receive correction, our understanding deepens, and our ability to reflect and make wiser choices increases.

Verse 33 is it for me 😊. The true source of revelation and knowledge begins with surrender to God. Surrender is the starting point of wisdom. It means yielding our whole being to Him—relinquishing control and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide our lives. Without surrender, there is pride; and pride keeps us from experiencing the fullness of God’s presence.

The latter part of verse 33 tells us we cannot expect to encounter God’s glory without sincere humility. Humility is the posture that attracts His presence. To live surrendered is to declare with our lives, “God, I need You.” Only then can His Spirit freely work in us and lead us into truth.

Today, let’s make the choice to fully surrender. Yield our plans, desires, and will to God. Trust that He knows what is best and will guide us into the path of life. True wisdom and lasting transformation are found in Him alone.

Thanks for joining me on this journey.
